NAMI Connection Peer Support Group
NAMI Family Support Groups, offered by NAMI Affiliates in communities across the country, are free, confidential and safe groups of families helping other families who live with mental health challenges. In NAMI Family Support groups, families join a caring group of individuals helping one another by utilizing their collective lived experiences and learned wisdom. Family members can achieve a renewed sense of hope for their loved one living with mental health challenges.
Please join Russ Bellavance, past president of the Wissahickon Valley Historical Society, on a journey of exploration of these beautiful hand-written deeds. One of the deeds was acknowledged by Thomas McKean, then Chief Justice of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. McKean, for whom McKean Road in Lower Gwynedd was named, was a signer of the Declaration of Independence, was President of the Congress of the United States under the Articled of Confederation and was later a Governor of Pennsylvania.
