John Bartram was an 18th century naturalist, botanist and explorer. Joel Fry, curator of Bartram’s Garden in Philadelphia will present the history of the garden, its special features and its role in Philadelphia through the ages. Take a guided tour with Mr. Fry’s powerpoint presentation. They have a Nursery and the Bartram Green Room with options to enhance your experience at the Garden. Hear about the Schuylkill River Trail and plans to extend it through the Garden.
Design handmade fall cards with Anne Power. Join this fun and informative hands-on class. Anne demonstrates and helps you design two cards, with a feminine or masculine theme. All adults are welcome regardless of craft experience. $5 covers all supplies.

Come explore the history, heritage and homes of Chestnut Hill with local author Elizabeth Farmer Jarvis. Ms Jarvis is a long-time resident of Chectnut Hill, curator of the Chestnut Hill Historical Society and author of two books about Chestnut Hill. Copies of her books will be available.
