Join us on the first Wednesday of the month at Ambler Theater for the afternoon showing of the chosen film. Each film will be announced 10 days before the showing, and the discussion afterward will be moderated by library staff and theater staff.

Set during the German air blitz of London during WWII, THEIR FINEST is about a British film crew that attempts to boost morale by creating a propaganda film. Told with wry humor and honesty, it’s a delightful story about persevering through trying times. The excellent cast features Gemma Arterton and Sam Claflin, as well as Bill Nighy, Helen McCrory, Jeremy Irons, and Richard E. Grant. Mindfulness and Compassion

Let your mind bloom in May!  It's our "Lunch Hour" of Mindfulness and Compassion, a 6-week mini-course on Thursday afternoons.  This class is designed to give you the strategies to develop your own mindfulness practice.  Discover peace and well-being as you move through the program, with special attention to self-compassion.  In addition to her mindfulness practice, Ms Cullinan is a cranio sacral therapist, zero balancing instructor, and visceral manipulation practitioner.  

Class meets from 12:30 to 2 PM on 6 Thursdays, May 4, May 11, May 18, May 25, June 1 and June 8. 

This class is limited to 15 persons to maximize benefits for participants.  The course cost is $150 for the 6-week session.   Registration is at the Blue Bell circulation desk only.  Registrations will be accepted up until the start of the first class on May 4 at 12:30 pm.  Please make checks payable to Mary Alice Cullinan. The fee for this program is non-refundable after the completion of the first class on May 4.

So you’ve heard all about it, your friends are doing it, you’ve told yourself you’ve been meaning to do it, and here you are, still staring at that unused yoga mat!  There is a reason everyone who does Yoga talks about it all the time, how it changed their life, how you should come to a class with them. Showing up to a Yoga class for the first time can be nerve-racking- so before the start of our Fall 8-week Session, come take this FREE class with WVPL’s instructor, Matthew Mitlas, and experience what everyone’s been talking about. Learn in a body safe and judgment-free atmosphere.
