Peter Wentz Homestead
Learn about your local history as presented by a costumed staff interpreter of the historic Peter Wentz Farmstead located in Worcester Township. This power-point program will include general site history, but also a few behind-the-scenes pictures not typically included during a visit to the site. The Peter Wentz family settled here in the 1700s and their farmstead was twice used as the temporary headquarters for General Washington. At one time this Worcester Township area was part of Philadelphia County, which can add excitement to the historical research.
