The Greater Philadelphia Chinese Cultural Center will give a presentation on how the Chinese New Year is celebrated and talk about Chinese culture. This event is free for children and families of all ages. There will be another celebration, advertised for adults, on February 22. Celebrate with us at WVPL!
This event is for kids and families. Join us at 5:00pm in Blue Bell to make a Valentine and put your painted hand print on a banner that will be hung in the children's area of the library!
Mindfulness is a basic human quality and a practice that cultivates inner calm, increased awareness of self, and a sense of well-being. Open Heart Mindfulness will present a class for kids (ages 8-10 years) and their families! This includes movement, exercises, mindful relaxation, and loving-kindness practices.
Class will be taught by Cindy Carter-Hopson, Mindfulness Coaching for Children.
This event is FREE. Registration required at mindfulwvpl.eventbrite.com. One ticket needed per child. At least one adult must attend with child.
Be sure to bring a blanket, yoga mat or cushion to sit on.
