The Greater Philadelphia Chinese Cultural Center in Blue Bell will be at the library to share a glimpse of the wonderful tradition of the Lunar New Year.  With music and dance, we'll learn about this joyous time to gather with family and hope for good fortune in the upcoming year.  Don't miss this opportunity to celebrate the Year of the Dog!

S.T.E.A.M. Club @ Ambler

Do you want your children to learn more about science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM)? Enroll them in a free club for children ages 9-12.  The first club meeting will be January 27, 2018 at Wissahickon Valley Public Library - Ambler Branch. The club will then meet on the first and third Saturdays of each month through April.

Last day of registration is January 22. The club is limited to 10 participants.

Club Founders: High school students Chidera Obi-Eyisi and Kekeli Logoh.  Kekeli and Chidera were leadership interns at Camp Invent and attended technology and leadership programs at Yale University and University of Penn. Both aspire to work in the science and engineering fields and “aim to inspire kids to learn the potential of their ideas.”

Club Supervisors: Anne Hall and Erin Mazzoni, professional librarians with WVPL.
