Tips for Tackling the College Essay

 In this fast paced workshop facilitated by The Ultimate Coach, students can find helpful answers to questions and challenges they face in completing the many college application essays.  The Ultimate Coach will review:

  •     The Common Application Essay questions for 2014-2015
  •     Sample supplemental essay questions from the private colleges with excerpts from “admitted essays”
  •     The top ten elements of essays which land applicants in the “YES” pile.

 

Bring questions or started essays for specific answers to the toughest essay challenges.  This workshop can help reduce your stress around the essay portion of the college application.  Families Welcome – Students grades 10-12.

Who is the Ultimate Coach? Amy Sauber holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Education in Counseling and Organizational Behavior.  She is an adjunct professor at Temple University’s Fox School of Business. Currently Ms. Sauber, The Ultimate Coach, provides college and career coaching to many students.

 Learn how to start the process of nailing down a major and a respective school in this FREE College Planning Workshop. The main goal of the program is reducing college debt with more thoughtful planning on the upfront end. Presented by Chris Chaplin, a certified College Planning Advisor.

World Book Night

World Book Night is an annual celebration dedicated to spreading the love of reading, person to person. Every year on 4/23 (Shakespeare's birthday), tens of thousands of people go out into their communities and give away 500,000 free paperbacks.
