This photographic essay takes the audience along with Dr. Steve and his group of 13, including two chilren, on an extraordinary14-day journey through post-revolution Egypt, from Abu Simbel to Old Cairo, from the Temple of Philae to the Pyramids of Giza. Entertainer and music historian Steven Pollack returns to Ambler Library to present "The British Invasion," two-part program, that explores the 1960s influx of British pop culture into the U.S.

British music came back to the United States with a vengeance as the Beatles appeared in 1964. But they weren’t the only ones that invaded – British actors, movies, television, fashion, Broadway Shows and literature flooded our markets during the 1960’s. This series is a look at how and why we were inundated with James Bond, Twiggy, Oliver!, Lawrence of Arabia, Secret Agent Man, 1984 and dozens of Pop/Rock/Blues Bands.

Tea & Scones will be served at 6:15. The program will begin at 6:30pm.
The program is free, but registration is required. Thank you! Register at the library or on Eventbrite:
