Ultimate Destinations in Space:  Ultima Thule and the Edges of the Solar Sytem

A lot of attention is being paid to the Moon this summer for the historic moon landing 50 years ago. But the moon is our nearest space neighbor...

What do we know about the farthest reaches that our current space exploration has touched?

What space missions have explored the edges of our Solar System and what have they found?

Meet Ultima Thule and find out where the edge of our solar system is! You'll learn the newest information on Ultima Thule from the January 2019 New Horizons encounter and what NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) is still learning from the Voyager missions.  Presentation by Dr. Ann Schmiedekamp, NASA Solar System Ambassador

Won't you join us! It's going to be out-of-this-world!  This program is FREE and open to the public. Children (Suggested age 10+), Teens, and Adults.  RSVP required at space2wvpl.eventbrite.com

This program is part of our Summer Quest 2019 educational events, " A Universe of Stories."
