Beginning November 2, Ambler Library will be OPEN from 1 to 5 pm on Fridays. The Ambler branch will be closed on Friday mornings for pre-renovation tasks.

A Midsummer’s Night of Opera with Delaware Valley Opera Company

"Opera Potpourri"  - 

Bizet, Gershwin, Verdi, Bernstein, Mozart and more! Our favorite opera singers with Delaware Valley Opera Company are back with a collection of their favorite performances. This event is free and open to the public.  DUE TO POPULARITY, PLEASE REGISTER:

 If registration is full, you are welcome to come to the library the evening of the performance and check if seats will be available. Priority will be given to those who have registered previously. Thank you for your cooperation in this regard for this highly popular event.

Our evening will feature some of the finest operatic singers in the region, accompanied by pianist Isaac Dae Young. Vocalists: Laurice Kennel, Fran Bjorneby Kraemer, Elizabeth Oliver, Synthia Pullum, Kent Schauble and Thad Shirey. 

This program is presented as part of the library's 2018 Adult Summer Reading Challenge Educational Events. Our theme is "Libraries Rock."

Spend a relaxing evening of classical music with Classical Guitarist Francesco Barone. Mr. Barone will perform works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Ponce and Tansman. An award-winning guitarist, he has performed throughout the Northeastern United States and in Italy as a soloist and chamber musican.

He has been described as "one of the new breed of classical guitarist...[he] brings a strong sense of communication, artistry and musical depth to the audience."
