The Friends of the Wissahickon Valley Public Library know that local funding of libraries has its limits. They formed to provide supplemental funding and activities that extend library resources. The Friends goal is to help the library respond to the current needs of users.
The Wissahickon Valley Public Library is lucky to have 2 Friends Groups:
The Blue Bell Chapter of the Friends of the Library was formed in 1989 and describe themselves as a group of curious people, lifelong learners, readers, writers, researchers and browsers.
The Ambler Chapter of the Friends of the Library describe themselves as a group of citizens promoting ways for the local Ambler Branch to continue and thrive.
