The History of Penllyn Village

Join us for a program about Penllyn Village, a small village within Lower Gwynedd Township that has played a unique role in local history. The program will briefly describe the origin of Lower Gwynedd and then focus on the 19th century when Penllyn Village became a predominately black portion of a predominately white township. For many decades, the social and religious center of Penllyn Village was Bethlehem Baptist Church, then located at the intersection of Penllyn Pike and Trewellyn Avenue.
